Acculon Welcomes New Electrical-Software Engineering Manager, Andrew Huster

Andrew is an electrical engineer by training from OSU, where he earned his BS and MS. He trained at the Center for Automotive Research, working on the EcoCAR advanced vehicle technology team for 5 years, during which he was an electrical team member, eventually becoming the engineering manager of the team. He has a depth of knowledge and experience with power electronics, components, wire, and fuse sizing, as well as thermal design as it pertains to electronics and battery systems. He has expertise in both high and low-voltage electrical system architecture.

Andrew has been a feature integration and software engineer at General Motors, focusing on automated driving and active safety. He has also been a technical project manager and release manager for software projects, including Disney Streaming (for the Disney+ and Star+ app). Most recently, he was a technical program manager for the autonomous vehicle software stack at Motional.

Sharing his thoughts about his new position with Acculon, Andrew stated “I’m excited to join the Acculon team and bring together my experiences in both software and hardware development into one role. I look forward to helping drive Acculon forward as a leader in sustainable power across many different industries and applications.” Andrew further expressed, “We have a great team here who have already been extremely helpful and welcoming to me, and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
