David joins us with an exceptional track record of accomplishments in the field of engineering, specifically in the realm of lithium-ion batteries. With his extensive expertise and visionary leadership, we are confident that David will play a pivotal role in propelling our firm to new heights of innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
David brings over 25 years of lithium battery experience in stationary, mobile, and aerospace applications. His roles range from product engineering to engineering team management to leading certification efforts. David’s products have successfully deployed on 4 continents in some of the harshest terrestrial environments, placing systems at high altitudes in the mountains of Columbia, to the barren metals mines and fishing villages in the Arctic Circle, and across the deserts of Australia. As a part of David’s certification and compliance experience, he has led on-site UL inspections to comply with state, providence, and government regulations and standards. David brings his expertise in team building, global engineering teams, facility management, and on-time delivery to Acculon.
As the Director of Engineering, David will spearhead the development and execution of cutting-edge lithium-ion battery solutions across a range of applications. His deep understanding of battery technologies, combined with his ability to translate ideas into tangible results, will be instrumental in driving our company’s mission to revolutionize the energy storage landscape.
Here are a few highlights that make David a remarkable addition to our team:
- Member of the UL Standards Technical Panels (STP) for stationary ESS on UL 1973, 9540, 9540A, and UL 2580 for mobility
- US Delegate to the International Electro-Technical Commission (IEC) as a Subject Matter Expert
- One of the original authors of NFPA 855 “Standard for the Installation of Stationary Energy Storage Systems”
David truly embodies the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and expertise that defines our organization. We are thrilled to have him on board, as his experience will not only contribute to the success of our company but also accelerate the global shift towards sustainable energy solutions.
